Dhanbad, June 2: The Department of Metallurgical Engineering at BIT Sindri organized a felicitation ceremony to honour students who qualified the prestigious Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 with impressive All India Ranks (AIR).

The event was graced by BIT Sindri Director Dr. Pankaj Rai as the chief guest, while Dr. A.K. Rajak, Head of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, presided over the function.

Six students from the department were felicitated for their remarkable achievements in GATE 2025. The qualifiers included D. Raunak (AIR 51), Saurabh Gupta (AIR 77), Amar Kumar (AIR 115), Sandeep Mandal (AIR 347), Hritik Kumar (AIR 534), and Md Altaf (AIR 611).

Addressing the gathering, Director Dr. Pankaj Rai congratulated the achievers and praised their dedication, perseverance, and consistent efforts. He urged students to continue aiming high and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development through innovation, research, and technical excellence.

All faculty members of the department—Dr. B.N. Roy, Dr. Sangram Hembram, Dr. Nand Kishore, Prof. Mo. Izhar Hussain, Dr. Sumit Sharma, Prof. Kirti Madhavi, Prof. Babul Das, and Prof. Monica Gautam—were present and extended their best wishes to the students, encouraging them to reach even greater heights.
