New Delhi, Dec 11: Mohan Yadav has been chosen as the next Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, following the decision made during the BJP legislature meeting on Monday.
Mohan Yadav represented the Ujjain South constituency in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
Who is Mohan Yadav?
Mohan Yadav was born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on March 25, 1965, and has long been connected to the BJP. His father’s name is Poonamchand Yadav. Mohan Yadav is married to Seema Yadav and the couple is blessed with two sons and a daughter. He is well-known as a businessman in addition to his political activities.
Mohan Yadav holds a number of degrees, including a PhD, MBA, LLB, MA, and BSC.

He embarked on his political journey with his initial election as an MLA in 2013, and he secured re-election in the subsequent 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly polls.
On July 2, 2020, Yadav took the oath of office as a cabinet minister in the government headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, thus cementing his position of influence within the political landscape of the state.
In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election, Mohan Yadav defeated Congress opponent Chetan Premnarayan Yadav by a margin of 12,941 votes, effectively defending his seat in the Ujjain South constituency. With 95,699 votes, he was elected to his third term as an MLA in a row.
