Jamshedpur, June 25: The monsoon conditions are steadily strengthening over Jharkhand, bringing consistent rainfall activity across the state.
IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre predicted widespread rainfall over Jharkhand during the next few days.
25–26 June: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are most likely to occur at most places across Jharkhand.
27–28 June: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at many places in the state.
Outlook for 29–30 June: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at many places, continuing the wet spell across the region.
Synoptic Features Supporting Rainfall
Monsoon Position: The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) currently passes through: 25.0°N/60.0°E, 25.0°N/65.0°E, 25.5°N/70.0°E, Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, Rampur, Bijnor, Karnal, Halwara, and 33.0°N/70.5°E.
Cyclonic Circulation: A cyclonic circulation persists over south Jharkhand and adjoining areas, between 3.1 km and 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting southwards with height.
Troughs in Place: A trough extends from central Uttar Pradesh to northwest Bay of Bengal across northeast Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and north Odisha, up to 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
Another trough runs from the northeast Arabian Sea to south Jharkhand at 3.1 Km above mean sea level.
These atmospheric systems are expected to maintain favourable conditions for continued rainfall and occasional thunderstorms.
