Dhaka, July 21: A devastating crash involving a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 fighter jet claimed at least 19 lives and left more than 100 others injured after it plummeted into a school campus in Dhaka’s Uttara area on Monday.

Among the dead are 16 students, two teachers, and the pilot. Authorities confirmed that around 80 of the injured are currently being treated at various hospitals across the city, with several in critical condition.

The scale of destruction was captured in harrowing visuals showing charred debris, thick smoke, and frantic rescue efforts.

The jet struck the front section of a three-storey school building, trapping students under rubble. Teachers and staff initiated emergency rescue work immediately, even before fire services and military personnel arrived on the scene.
