Dhanbad, Nov 1: Dhanbad police recovered four live low-intensity crude bombs from an abandoned house near the Urdu School at Bhowra 7 No under Bhowra Outpost, about 18 km from the district headquarters, on Friday evening.
Sindri SDPO Ashutosh Kumar Satyam said a team of senior police officers raided the house following a tip-off and found the explosives inside a room. The bombs were later safely defused by immersing them in water.

Police have detained a local youth, identified as Moijuddin Ansari, for questioning in connection with the recovery. “He is being interrogated to ascertain his role and identify others who may be involved,” the SDPO said.

Officials suspect the bombs were stored with the intention of carrying out a criminal act in the area. The investigation is underway to determine the source of the explosives and those responsible.
The raid team included Circle Inspector Ashutosh Kumar, Bhowra Outpost Officer-in-Charge Suman Sourabh, and Sub-Inspector Santosh Kumar.
