Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Mid Town launches Green Mission with tree plantation drive

 

Jamshedpur, Nov 14: The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Mid Town (RCJMT) kick-started the first phase of its Green Mission with a large-scale tree plantation programme at the premises of Tata Steel Wires Division. The initiative marked a significant step toward promoting environmental sustainability in Jamshedpur.

As part of the first phase, a total of 500 trees were planted in and around the Wires Division campus. The plantation drive not only enhanced the green cover of the industrial premises but also symbolised a strong community-driven effort to combat environmental degradation.

Speaking at the event, Rajeshwar Jaiswal, President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Mid Town, highlighted the urgency of environmental protection and called upon citizens and organisations to join hands in safeguarding nature. He stressed that initiatives like these contribute meaningfully to creating a healthier ecosystem for future generations.

The programme witnessed active participation from Rotary Club members and officials of Tata Steel Wires Division, reflecting a shared vision for a cleaner and greener Jamshedpur. The next phase of the Rotary Club’s Green Mission is scheduled to be held at N Road, Bistupur, where more plantation activities will further strengthen the city’s environmental efforts.
