Jamshedpur, January 6: The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 was conducted smoothly across the country on January 4, marking another successful edition of one of India’s premier management entrance examinations.
Held in a single session from 2 pm to 5 pm, the examination took place simultaneously at 288 centres across 121 cities, ensuring a uniform and transparent testing process for all aspirants.
Central Command Centre at XLRI Jamshedpur
The examination concluded without any technical or logistical issues. A state-of-the-art central Command Centre set up at XLRI Jamshedpur monitored the entire process in real time and ensured seamless coordination among centres nationwide.

Strong Participation Highlights XAT’s Popularity
With around 1.35 lakh registrations, XAT 2026 once again underlined its strong standing among national-level management entrance tests. Candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds appeared for the examination.
Results to Be Announced Soon
A B-school official said that scorecards and percentile rankings for XAT 2026 are expected to be released shortly on the official XAT website.
