Ranchi, January 12: Usha Martin University on Sunday organised the Shiksha Shikhar Samman Samaroh ‘Abhinandan 2026’ to honour outstanding school principals and academic representatives from Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal for their contribution to education.

The programme was attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milind, Registrar Dr S. P. Verma, heads of departments, faculty members and administrative staff.

Academic Dialogue and Felicitation

The event began with a high tea session, followed by an interactive meeting between the invited educators and the heads of various departments. The interaction served as a platform for academic dialogue, exchange of ideas and discussion on future collaboration between schools, coaching institutions and the university.

During the felicitation ceremony, 100 heads of educational institutions were honoured. The initiative aimed to recognise educators while showcasing the university’s commitment to offering credible and future-oriented academic pathways for students.

Vice-Chancellor Highlights Role of Educators

In her welcome address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik thanked the guests for their presence and said Abhinandan 2026 was a sincere effort to acknowledge educators who have played a vital role in shaping young minds and strengthening the regional education ecosystem.

Campus Tour and Facilities Showcase

Following the ceremony, the guests were taken on a guided tour of the university campus, including visits to the media studio, moot court, language lab, health science laboratories, engineering labs and IT infrastructure.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milind, who said Usha Martin University has emerged as a preferred destination for quality higher education in eastern India and that such initiatives reinforce its vision of collaboration, respect and academic excellence.

National Youth Day: Usha Martin University Students Donate Blood at State-Level Camp

On the occasion of National Youth Day, a large-scale Blood Donation Camp was organised at Birsa Mandap, Lok Bhawan, as part of a state-level initiative to promote humanitarian service and social responsibility among youth.

The camp witnessed participation from several institutions. Usha Martin University made a significant contribution, with 100 students donating blood.

NSS Unit Plays Key Role

The programme was supported by the NSS Unit of Usha Martin University, which coordinated volunteers and ensured the smooth conduct of the blood donation drive.

The initiative aimed at strengthening blood bank reserves to meet medical requirements while motivating young people to actively engage in voluntary service and community welfare activities.
