Jharkhand Weather Update: Day temperatures rise, dry conditions to continue

Jamshedpur, Jan 24: Jharkhand is witnessing a steady rise in daytime temperatures, with most districts recording above-normal maximum temperatures, according to the latest weather update. While daytime heat has increased, night temperatures across the state have remained relatively cool and stable.

Daltonganj Records Highest Day Temperature

Daltonganj emerged as the hottest location in Jharkhand, with the maximum temperature touching 31.2 degrees Celsius, indicating a clear warming trend during the daytime across the region.

Despite the rise in temperatures, no rainfall was recorded anywhere in Jharkhand during the past 24 hours, keeping weather conditions dry and comfortable. The absence of rain has ensured favourable conditions for routine activities and travel.

Visibility Slightly Reduced, No Fog or Cold Wave

Morning visibility was slightly reduced in a few pockets of the state. Jamshedpur reported the lowest visibility at 1,500 metres. However, there were no reports of fog or cold wave conditions, and overall weather remained stable.

Dry Weather to Persist Across Jharkhand

The weather department has forecast that dry weather will continue across Jharkhand over the next couple of days. Day temperatures are expected to rise gradually, especially over the western and central parts of the state, while night temperatures may show minor fluctuations but remain within a comfortable range.

With clear skies and increasing sunshine hours, residents can expect pleasant mornings followed by warm afternoons. There is no immediate indication of rainfall or severe weather, making conditions suitable for outdoor work and daily movement.

Minimum Temperatures Across Major Cities

Weather statistics revealed that Kanke recorded the lowest minimum temperature in Jharkhand today at 5.7 degrees Celsius.

The state capital Ranchi, recorded a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, while Jamshedpur recorded 11.2 degrees Celsius. Daltonganj reported 8.7 degrees Celsius, and Bokaro recorded 9.1 degrees Celsius.

Overall, Jharkhand is gradually transitioning into a milder and warmer phase, signalling the end of winter chill and the onset of spring-like conditions.
