Ranchi, February 12: Senior scientist G.B.K. Subramanyam paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Chief Minister’s residential office, where he presented detailed information about a self-developed, state-of-the-art cancer treatment machine.

Subramanyam explained that the machine, developed using indigenous technology, is currently being used in leading hospitals in India and abroad. He stated that the equipment has shown promising results in the treatment of serious and complex cancer cases.

‘A Boon for Cancer Patients’: CM

The Chief Minister praised Subramanyam’s efforts, describing the machine as “no less than a boon for cancer patients”. He said such innovations could significantly improve treatment outcomes and benefit patients across the country.

Focus on Strengthening State Health Infrastructure

Soren emphasised that the state government is continuously taking concrete steps to strengthen healthcare infrastructure. Modern diagnostic and treatment facilities are being introduced in hospitals to ensure patients receive advanced medical care within their own state.

Expressing concern over the rising number of cancer cases, he said the government is fully prepared to take all necessary measures to provide state-of-the-art cancer treatment facilities locally.

MLA Rajesh Kachhap was also present during the meeting.
