Ranchi set for world-class library, says Governor

 

Ranchi, March 29: Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Governor of Jharkhand, on Sunday visited Morabadi in Ranchi to review the progress of the state-of-the-art library currently under construction.

During the inspection, he interacted with engineers and on-site staff to assess the pace and quality of the work.

‘Not Just a Building, But a Knowledge Hub’

Describing the project as more than just infrastructure, the Governor said the upcoming facility would serve as a strong foundation for knowledge, learning, and a brighter future.

He expressed confidence that Ranchi will soon have a world-class, modern library that will benefit students across Jharkhand.

The Governor congratulated Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Coal India Limited for supporting the project under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Six-Storey Facility to Support Competitive Exam Aspirants

The proposed six-storey library will feature modern amenities and accommodate a large number of students simultaneously.

It is expected to become a major centre for academic excellence, discipline, and self-development, offering an ideal environment for preparation for competitive examinations and higher education.

Highlighting the broader impact, the Governor said the library would serve not only the youth of Ranchi but students across the state, helping them pursue their academic and career aspirations.

He also noted his experience of establishing a similar model library in Bareilly, emphasising the importance of accessible learning spaces.

Call for Timely, High-Quality Completion

The Governor appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders involved and expressed hope that the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high-quality standards.

Union Minister Sanjay Seth Also Present

Sanjay Seth, Union Minister of State for Defence, was also present during the visit. He stated that the initiative would be particularly beneficial for talented students from rural areas who often lack access to proper study resources.
