Gwalior, Dec 30: In the Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh, a 19-year-old youth has been arrested for raping a girl who lived in his neighbourhood by threatening her, a police officer said on Saturday.
The official stated that the incident happened on Thursday night at around 11 p.m. in the district, under the authority of the Dabra police station limits, and that the victim’s family was not home at the time.
The girl went to the police station after the incident and filed a complaint against Hemant, the accused.

Case filed against accused
Niranjan Sharma, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) stated, “The victim lodged a complaint to the police that when there was no body in her house, the accused living in her neighbourhood, Hemant, entered her house and raped her by threatening to kill her.”
The officer stated that in response to the complaint, the police arrested the accused and filed a case against him under applicable laws, including the statute against rape.
He stated that a thorough investigation into the issue is currently in progress.
