Dhanbad, Jan 18: Technocrats from BIT Sindri showcased exceptional performance at the IIT Kharagpur Shourya Khel Utsav, bringing home four medals, including two golds, in powerlifting and volleyball events.
In powerlifting, Sandip Das and Arman Ansari secured gold medals, while Govind Hansda earned a silver.
The institute’s volleyball team, consisting of Vinay, Pratik, Sumant, Shubham, Akash, Wrishav, Samit, Piyush, Rahul Bauri, Rohit, and Karan, dominated throughout the Utsav, winning a bronze medal.

The manager of the BIT Sindri team praised the players for their impressive techniques and stamina, especially in the semifinals, where they narrowly missed out on victory in a thrilling finish.
Dr. Pankaj Rai, Director of BIT Sindri, along with senior faculty members, lauded the students’ achievements and acknowledged that their performance has significantly raised the institution’s profile among technocrats in the region.
