New Delhi, Feb 24: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took the oath as an MLA on Monday as the 8th Delhi Legislative Assembly held its first session.
The session began with BJP MLA Arvinder Singh Lovely being sworn in as the Protem Speaker at Raj Niwas, with Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena administering the oath. The Speaker’s election is set for 2 PM.

As per the Delhi Assembly bulletin, LG Saxena will address the House on February 25, after which the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports will be presented.
The motion of thanks on the LG’s address will be moved the same day, with discussions scheduled to begin at 11 AM on February 26, followed by the Deputy Speaker’s election.
