New Delhi, April 16: The Congress Party has initiated a nationwide protest in response to the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) chargesheet against key party leaders, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, in connection with the National Herald case.

The ED’s prosecution complaint, filed on Tuesday in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, also targets several other individuals, including Sam Pitroda, Suman Dubey, and associated firms. The case is scheduled for arguments on April 25.

In retaliation, Congress leaders have organized protests across the country, with several leaders detained by Delhi Police for attempting to breach security near the Congress office.

The protest is part of a broader campaign against the BJP-led government, with Congress planning to hold demonstrations at district-level ED offices in various states.

The chargesheet follows a complaint filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, accusing the Gandhis and their associates of financial misconduct.
