Dhanbad, April 2: The Dhanbad Railway Division of the East Central Railway (ECR) zone has once again emerged as the top performer in freight loading and revenue generation, securing the number one position for the third consecutive year among 258 railway divisions across India.
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Kamal Kishore Sinha, while sharing the achievement, stated that the division has successfully maintained its leadership in freight operations during the 2024-25 financial year.

Record Freight Loading and Revenue Collection
The Dhanbad Division registered an impressive 193.91 million tonnes (MT) of freight loading in the 2024-25 financial year, which concluded on March 31, generating a total revenue of ₹26,681.13 crore.
Compared to the 2023-24 financial year, the division recorded a 2.74% increase in freight loading and a 1.45% rise in revenue collection. In 2023-24, the division had achieved a freight loading of 188.73 MT, with revenue earnings of ₹26,301.19 crore.
DRM Kamal Kishore Sinha credited this remarkable achievement to the dedicated efforts of all officers and staff of the division, whose hard work and commitment have enabled Dhanbad Railway Division to retain its top position in the country.
