Jamshedpur, Jan 30: The minimum temperature witnessed a gradual rise across Jharkhand due to the impact of a western disturbance passing through northern parts of the country.
Statistics of IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre suggested a rise in minimum temperature in the capital Ranchi and other parts of the state today.
Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 12.2 degree Celsius today while Jamshedpur recorded 14.4 degrees.

Daltonganj today recorded a minimum temperature of 10.8 degree Celsius while Bokaro Steel City recorded 10.6 degrees.
Chatra today recorded the state’s lowest temperature of 8.9 degrees Celsius followed by Garhwa which recorded 9.1 degrees.
Hazaribagh recorded 9.9 degrees Celsius while Khunti recorded 10.5 degrees.
Minimum temperature rose to as high as 13-14 degrees Celsius in places like Pakur, Jagannathpur, Jamtara and Dhanbad.
The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over West Afghanistan persists and now lies at 3.1 Km above mean sea level with a trough aloft in middle and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
A cyclonic circulation was also lying over southern Haryana at 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
