Jharkhand: BIT Sindri ranks 1st in east zone, 9th in engineering colleges of India

Dhanbad, Jan 19: The Jharkhand government-owned Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri emerged as rank 1 in the East Zone and 9 in engineering colleges of the country in the Internshala Annual College Ranking 2023.

Ranking by Internshala

Internshala annual ranking has been given on the basis of internship record across the country.  Over 400 engineering colleges in the country had participated in it.  BIT Sindri had also got the top rank in the 2022 Internshala Annual College ranking among East Zone engineering colleges.

Delhi-based career–tech platform Internshala announced Annual College Rankings to acknowledge the technical institutions that have fostered a culture of internships within their institutions and have achieved the best internship records nationwide.

The ranking has been given on a zonal basis – north, south, east and west.  BIT Sindri got rank 1 in the east zone and 9th nationally. Paavai Engineering College of Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, secured the first position, both nationally and in the South zone.

Ramanujan College, DU, New Delhi, emerged as the top-ranking college in the North zone; BIT Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, secured the top spot in the East zone, and Dhole Patil College Of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra, led in the West zone.

Internshala founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Sarvesh Agrawal has informed about it to Dr Ghanshyam, chairman of Career Development Centre (CDC) BIT Sindri.

“Maintaining its position as the top-ranked college in the East Zone is of course a matter of pride for the people of Jharkhand and encourages us to do better. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Internshala for the outstanding recognition of BIT Sindri,” said Dr Ghanshyam

Dr Ghanshyam said, “We are committed to providing our students with exceptional opportunities and preparing them for the professional world. Internships have been pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence at BIT Sindri by encouraging practical learning. We take pride in promoting and encouraging a culture of internships among our students”.
