THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, Sept 8: The high-level committee, chaired by Jharkhand Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, on Monday approved the creation of a new police sub-division in Mango, Jamshedpur, based on a proposal from the Department of Home, Jail and Disaster Management. The move aims to strengthen law and order management in the region.

Chief Secretary Tiwari also instructed the DGP to conduct a comprehensive assessment of all districts to evaluate their law enforcement needs. “This exercise will provide detailed data on crime trends, current resources, and additional requirements, ensuring better allocation of personnel and resources to prevent and control crime effectively,” she said.

However, with the increasing population, expanding area, and rising incidence of diverse crimes in the jurisdictions of the Outgrowth Police Stations Mango and Azadnagar, as well as Olidih Outpost, authorities felt the need for a dedicated police sub-division in Mango.
