Ranchi, Nov 15: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that Jharkhand must follow the path shown by Dharti Aba Birsa Munda, calling him the hero whose struggle and sacrifice led to the creation of the state. Speaking at the 150th birth anniversary celebration in Ulihatu, he said that every citizen must help build the Jharkhand that Birsa Munda dreamed of.

Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram joined the Chief Minister at the ceremony held in Ulihati at the Birsa Munda Complex on State Foundation Day.

“Jharkhand Is the Land of Heroes”

The Chief Minister said that many heroes sacrificed their lives for the formation of Jharkhand, and their contribution still guides the state today.
He expressed sorrow over the passing of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, saying the state feels the silence and loss that a family feels after losing an elder.

Focus on Tribal and Indigenous Communities

Hemant Soren said the government is visiting villages across the state to understand the struggles of all communities. He highlighted major schemes aimed at the all-round development of tribal and indigenous people and said these communities remain a priority in every government plan.

He added that 50% of the state’s total expenditure is dedicated to women, villages, the poor, and farmers. Development work is being taken directly to every household.

The Chief Minister also noted that many youths in the audience were born after the formation of Jharkhand. He said the 25-year-old state will move ahead with the strength of its young population.

Women’s Empowerment and Social Progress

The Chief Minister said that earlier, people had to rely on moneylenders for healthcare and education, but the government is working to change this.
He said steady improvements are being made in education and health, and major plans are being prepared in sports, tourism, employment, and infrastructure.

He added that the government’s vision is to bring prosperity to every home in Jharkhand and ensure that all citizens participate in its development. He extended greetings on State Foundation Day and paid tribute to Birsa Munda.

Leaders, Officials, and Villagers Attend the Event

The event was attended by MLA Vikas Singh Munda, MLA Ramsurya Munda, MLA Sudip Gudiya, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Birsa Munda’s descendant Sukhram Munda, senior district officials, and a large number of villagers.
