‘AD MELIORA 2025’ featured a blend of four distinct competitions designed to challenge varied dimensions of knowledge and skill. ‘Rewind: The 20th Century Quiz’ took participants on a journey through the historical landscape of the 1900s, exploring topics such as geopolitics, sports, pop culture, science, and literature. ‘Scholars Gamble: Where You Bid to Victory’ tested participants through a unique format that combined risk-taking with quick thinking.

For those who excelled in wordplay and analytical reasoning, Enigma: The Cryptic Crossword offered a platform to decode complex clues in a battle of intellect. Lastly, Lexical Summit: The Spelling Bee showcased the contestants’ command over language, as they competed in a test of vocabulary, pronunciation and precision. Together, these four events created a holistic and exhilarating intellectual fest that celebrated both depth and diversity of knowledge.

In the event ‘Rewind: The 20th Century Quiz’, the team from DPS Ranchi clinched the First, Second and Third Position, earning a cash prize of ₹7,000, ₹5,000 and ₹3,000 respectively. In the ‘Scholars Gamble: Where You Bid to Victory’, the team from DPS Ranchi emerged triumphant, winning the First Prize and Second Prize with a cash reward of ₹5,000 and ₹3,000 respectively, and team of SR DAV Pundag stood third, earning ₹2,000 cash prize.

Manoj Ratan Chothe said, “Each one of you today embodies the spirit of curiosity and growth. Quizzing is not just about facts; it is about the courage to think, the confidence to respond, and the resilience to accept challenges. You have all displayed not just knowledge, but the ability to work as a team and think critically — qualities that define future leaders.”

Ajoy Chhabra, said, “Events like AD MELIORA are crucial not just for competition but for transformation. They nurture a generation that can ask the right questions, find patterns in chaos, and value collaboration. My heartiest congratulations to all participants and especially the organizers, who put together this intellectual spectacle with such grace.”

Dr. Jaya Chauahan, the Principal of DPS Ranchi, emphasized: “At DPS Ranchi, we believe that the inquisitiveness in children must be nurtured with the right platform and mentorship. AD MELIORA is a manifestation of our belief in holistic education — where intelligence meets imagination, and teamwork meets leadership. It fills me with immense pride to see our students not just participating but also organizing, coordinating, and leading such a massive intellectual endeavour.”
