Dhanbad, Sept 13: BIT Sindri hosted an Induction Program for the newly admitted B.Tech students of Batch 2025–29, marking the beginning of their academic journey. The event aimed to acquaint students with the institute’s culture, academic environment, and values.

In his keynote address, Director Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Rai emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and self-confidence in shaping a successful career. He encouraged students to focus on holistic growth by combining technical knowledge with integrity and innovation.

Dean Academic Dr. D. K. Tanti, Dean Students’ Welfare Dr. B. N. Roy, and Dean Faculty Affairs Dr. Maya Rajnarayan Ray also encouraged students to pursue hard work, confidence, and skill development as essential traits in their journey.

The Heads of Departments from Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mining Engineering, Computer Science & IT, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Humanities shared insights into departmental achievements, laboratories, research activities, and future opportunities. They inspired the students to embrace innovation and carry forward the institute’s rich legacy.

A senior faculty member observed that the opening session instilled confidence and motivation, giving the students a positive start to their academic life. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Rahul Kumar, who urged the newcomers to begin their journey with curiosity, enthusiasm, and self-belief.
