Dhanbad, June 26: Chief minister Champai Soren alleged that BJP ruled the highest period in 24 years of Jharkhand, but failed to understand the feelings and requirements of tribal, poor and minority people of the state.

The CM, while addressing people in Mega Sports Complex Memko More on Wednesday afternoon, said that despite ‘Double Engines’ governments (in state and centre) BJP did not launch development oriented projects in state keeping local people, labour and poor in mind.
Soren today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development schemes worth Rs 400 crores in Dhanbad.

The chief minister said that the Mahagathbandhan government did not get enough time to work as its three years out of 4.5 years passed in combating the Covid pandemic. However, in the remaining time his government was able to take development work at the door of people in remote jungle and hilly terrain based villages.

Labour minister Satyanand Bhokta, agriculture minister Badal Patralekh, Tundi JMM MLA Mathura Prasad Mahto, Jharia Congress MLA Purnima Singh and state Congress vice-president Brajendra Prasad Singh were also present in the function.
Soren, on the occasion, announced that his government would launch a health scheme of Rs 15 lakh under Abua Chikitsa Yojna for the people who are deprived of Ayusman Yojna so that no family in the state can suffer from treatment and medicine shops too would be opened in each Panchayat.
The CM while recounting steps the Mahagathbandhan government initiated for the education of poor family members especially girl child, said that his government would open Model School in each block and total 326 Model Schools would be opened to provide quality and better than private school education for students of poor in state.
Soren said that the Mahagathbandhan government worked for the respect and development of all tribals, sons of the soil, poor and minority. That is why the government has decided to cover 18 years old under the Widow Pension scheme which was given to 40 years to 45 years..
