“Ranchi has turned into a crime capital. The rule of law has collapsed, and this is nothing short of jungle raj. I believe the ‘Yogi’ model should be implemented here,” he asserted, refusing any security cover for himself.

Ranchi SP (City) Raj Kumar Mehta assured that police action was ongoing and that criminals would find no safe haven in the city. He also emphasized efforts to restore normalcy by reopening shops, stating that enforcing a bandh was not a constitutional right.
Anil Tiger, a senior BJP leader, was shot dead in broad daylight on Wednesday near Kanke Chowk, just 25 meters from a police station. The shocking incident triggered strong reactions from party members, who expressed outrage over the deteriorating security situation.
One of the accused in the case, Rohit Verma, has been arrested following an encounter with the police.
