Kidney issues caused by diabetes, high blood pressure, unhealthy lifestyle

Well-known kidney disease specialist Dr. Wahid Khan, while addressing the gathering, said that kidney health has become an important problem in the present times.

It is increasing rapidly due to diabetes, high blood pressure and an unhealthy lifestyle.

Kidney health is adversely affected due to hectic lifestyle, disordered eating habits, excessive stress and inadequate exercise habits.

Explaining the ill effects of self-medication, he said that most people start buying medicines on their own for health-related problems.

“We should avoid this because it can cause kidney problems. Therefore, we should consult a specialist,” he said.

Facility director of the hospital Vinit Raj said that every year on March 14, an awareness campaign is run to keep the kidneys healthy.

The main objective of this is to highlight the importance of a healthy diet, regular exercise, and regular checkups among people.
