Daltonganj, March 8: A breastfeeding enclosure has been inaugurated today by the lady police officials and standing behind them was SP Reeshma Ramesan, who wanted her young lady cops to do the job.
It was a surprise and a big offer of the SP Reeshma Ramesan that caught almost all her lady cops unaware on International Women’s Day today.
The breastfeeding enclosure has been set up a few steps away from the chamber of the SP on the first floor of the B block. It will be a maintained one.

“We found that mothers tugging their suckling babies used to visit the SP chamber/ office and there for reasons of meetings, video conferencing of the SP, these mothers with babies in the lap had to wait for hours. In such a time, it must have been quite an embarrassing moment for a mother to breast feed her baby,” said Reeshma Ramesan.
“A mother needs privacy when she is to breast feed her baby. This enclosure offers privacy and comfort too. Mothers will love using it,” reiterated the SP.
The breast-feeding enclosure has come to mark the International Women’s Day today with a pious motive.
There will be a diaper changing facility here also in the coming days, assured the SP.
For kids, there are swings and sliders.
