Ranchi, September 16: The Resident Doctors Association (RDA) of the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) Ranchi has expressed its support for the junior doctors of RG Kar Medical College Hospital, Kolkata, who are currently agitating for justice following the murder of a trainee doctor.
They have supported five-point demand of the junior doctors of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
The RDA CIP has written a letter to the protesting junior doctors, voicing solidarity with their demands and the broader fight for justice and dignity within the medical community.

Previous actions and ongoing concerns
On September 5, in a show of solidarity, the RDA CIP Ranchi had turned off hostel lights for one hour (9 PM to 10 PM), conducted a candle march, and formed a human chain to support the agitating junior doctors and advocate for justice for the murdered trainee doctor.
The leaders of RDA CIP Ranchi have emphasized that the recent actions in West Bengal, where resident doctors are facing intimidation and punitive measures for demanding justice, are deeply concerning and warrant continued support.
Call for action
The RDA CIP maintains that the issues raised by the junior doctors are legitimate and urgent. They urge the Bengal government to engage in a meaningful dialogue and address the concerns of the medical fraternity.
“Such actions are not just an attack on an individual doctor but an affront to the medical fraternity as a whole,” said an RDA CIP office bearer.
