Ranchi, September 16: Babulal Marandi, the Jharkhand BJP President and former Chief Minister, provided detailed information about the party’s upcoming “Parivartan Yatra,” which is set to begin on September 20.
Marandi explained that the BJP will launch this journey across all six organizational divisions from September 20 to October 3. The yatra will cover a distance of 5,400 kilometres, passing through over 200 blocks in the state and traveling through all 81 legislative assembly constituencies.
The yatra will feature 80 welcome programs and 65 public rallies, with more than 50 prominent national and state leaders participating.
Marandi mentioned that the Parivartan Yatra in the Palamu division will start from Banshidhar Nagar on September 21 and conclude on September 28. The Hazaribagh division’s yatra will begin from the Bhadrakali Temple in Itkhori on September 21 and end on September 28.
The South Chotanagpur division’s yatra will commence from Amreshwar Dham in Khunti on September 23 and conclude on October 1.
The Santhal Pargana division’s yatra will start from Bhoganadiha on September 20 and conclude on September 30.
The Dhanbad division’s yatra will begin from Jharkhandi Dham on September 20 and end on September 26.
The Kolhan division’s Parivartan Yatra will commence from Chitteshwar Dham in Bahragora on September 23 and finish on October 2.

Marandi blasts Hemant govt for corruption and demographic shifts
Babulal Marandi said that the “Mahagathbandhan” government has severely damaged Jharkhand’s self-respect, dignity, and identity over the past five years. Jharkhand’s identity has traditionally been associated with honesty, truth, and hard work. However, the Hemant Soren government has tarnished this image, turning Jharkhand into a symbol of looting, corruption, and scandals involving money.
He criticized the Hemant government for not only exploiting resources like mines and land but also corrupting central welfare schemes such as the Nirmal Jal Yojana.
He also claimed that the government has become a protector of Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators, leading to unexpected demographic changes in the state. The indigenous population has rapidly declined, while the Muslim population has increased.
Through the Parivartan Yatra, he emphasized that the public will demand answers from Hemant Soren, asking for accountability for the past five years.
He highlighted that over 1,800 acres of land have been fraudulently acquired, with transactions exceeding 3,000 crore rupees in violation of the CNT Act. These activities are reportedly linked to Kolkata.
He concluded by affirming that the state’s youth and women are determined to drive change in Jharkhand.

Parivartan Yatra symbolizes public sentiments: Deepak Prakash
Outgoing BJP State President and Coordinator of the Parivartan Yatra, MP Deepak Prakash, stated that the yatra aims to bring about a change in both government and governance. He described the yatra as an expression of the sentiments of the state’s 3.5 crore residents.
He asserted that the public is determined to remove the corrupt Congress, JMM, and RJD alliance from power. Under the leadership of State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, this yatra is expected to be a milestone for the state.
In the press conference, the yatra’s co-coordinator, State General Secretary, and Headquarters In-Charge MP Dr. Pradeep Verma, along with State Media In-Charge Shivpujan Pathak, were also present.
