Jamshedpur, Dec 18: The Annual Sports Day 2025 of D.B.M.S English School, Jamshedpur, was celebrated on Thursday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Students of the four houses — Red, Green, Yellow and Blue — participated in the competitions.

The event was graced by Hemant Gupta, Head of TSAF and Sports Academics, Tata Steel, and CEO of Hockey Ace Foundation, as the chief guest. Members of the School Managing Committee, Principal Rajani Shekhar, Vice Principal P.K. Sahu and coordinators of various levels were also present on the occasion.

The celebrations commenced with a March Past, led by student commanders Shreyas Das, Anindita Das and Aryan Raj. The school senate, comprising Head Boy Shafaque Ahmad Khan and Head Girl Richa Arvind Singh, along with other student leaders, marched.

A special highlight of the parade was the National Squad of students who have represented the school at national-level CISCE events in disciplines such as volleyball, table tennis, lawn tennis, archery, hammer throw and chess.

Primary students from Classes I to III also took part in the march past, dressed as personnel of the Army, Navy and Air Force. The house contingents were led by their respective captains and vice-captains.

The programme continued with a series of thematic drill performances. Students of KG II presented “The Glacial Guardians,” emphasising environmental conservation and the need to protect natural resources.

The drill “Trustful Hearts and Peaceful Steps” by students of Class VI conveyed a strong message of peace, unity and mutual respect, while Class IV students showcased “Space Journey,” creatively portraying harmony and diversity through the solar system. A karate performance further added to the excitement of the day.

Students across all age groups participated in track events and other sports competitions, competing for house honours. At the conclusion of the meet, Red House emerged as the overall champion, while Green House won the trophy for the best March Past.
