Jharkhand News: DC Ravi Shankar Shukla receives PM’s Excellence Award

New Delhi, April 21: Ravi Shankar Shukla, Deputy Commissioner of Seraikella-Kharsawan has been conferred the PM Award for Excellence, 2024, in the category Aspirational Block Programme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Civil Services Day, held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi today.

The Award has been conferred in recognition of the successful implementation of initiatives in the Gamharia block of district Seraikella-Kharsawan under the Aspirational Block Programme and remarkable performance in terms of key indicators of focus areas.

The Aspirational Block Program is an initiative of NITI Aayog, launched on January 7, 2023. It aims to improve the quality of life in 500 underdeveloped blocks across the country by accelerating socio-economic development.

The program focuses on better governance, service delivery, and monitoring of key indicators in five main areas: Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Allied Services, Basic Infrastructure, and Social Development.
