Dhanbad, March 10: The Dhanbad district administration has strictly prohibited the use of DJ music during the upcoming Holi celebrations.
Ban on Vulgar Songs and Loudspeakers
At a high-level Peace Committee meeting held at Town Hall, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Madhavi Mishra announced that playing vulgar songs on loudspeakers would also be banned during the festival.
She emphasized that Holi is a time for collective celebration and added that since it coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, people should observe the festival with harmony and brotherhood. She warned that any violation of the district administration’s order would result in legal action.

Security Measures to Maintain Peace
To ensure peace during Holi, the administration has decided to deploy static forces in sensitive areas and conduct mobile patrolling across different localities.
Authorities have also been instructed to ensure the smooth supply of water and electricity, as well as maintain cleanliness in public areas during the festival.
Strict Action Against Lawbreakers
City Superintendent of Police Ajit Kumar urged people to report any law-and-order issues to the police instead of taking matters into their own hands.
He assured that strict action would be taken against hooligans and troublemakers, adding that youth engaging in disruptive activities were already under surveillance.
He also urged residents to inform the police about reckless bike riders to enable immediate action against them.

Social Media Monitoring
A Social Media Cell has been set up to monitor online activities and curb the spread of misinformation during the festival.
The meeting was attended by Town Commissioner Raviraj Sharma, ADM (Law and Order) Piyush Sinha, SDM Rajesh Kumar, ADM (Supply) Ziaul Ansari, DSPs Shankar Kamti and Naushad Alam (Law and Order), SDPO Nirsa Rajat Manik Bakhala, as well as all circle and block development officers.
