Dhanbad, April 5: Dhanbad police have arrested four inter-district bike lifters and recovered five stolen motorcycles from a garage located about 17 kilometres from the district headquarters.

Syndicate Admits to Stealing 20 Motorcycles
A senior police official informed that during interrogation, the arrested individuals admitted that their syndicate had stolen around 20 motorcycles from areas under the Topchachi, Barbadda, Tetulmari, Katras, Gomoh, Chandrapura, Bokaro, and Nirsa police stations. They confessed to selling the stolen bikes at low prices.
Revelation Leads to More Arrests and Recovery
Topchachi Police Inspector Doman Rajak said that during a routine vehicle checking at Mantand Chowk under Topchachi police station limits, police apprehended a man riding a black Honda Shine motorcycle without a number plate.

The arrested rider, identified as Sujit Kumar Mahto (35), revealed during questioning the names of his three accomplices — Raju Kumar Das (30), Mukesh Kumar (34), and Jagarnath Rajbar alias Bacchu Mistri (36).

Following the information, police arrested the three other bike lifters and raided Bacchu Mistri’s garage in Rajganj, where four more stolen motorcycles were recovered.
Police Team Behind the Operation
Besides Inspector Doman Rajak, the team that busted the bike-lifting syndicate included Sub-Inspectors Vivekanand Srivastava, Rakesh Dubey, Dinesh Kumar Pandey, Vinay Kumar Pandey, Raju Kumar, along with Hawaldar Bhulesh Kumar Paswan and Constable Mahendra Saw.
