Dhanbad Rail Division honors retiring official with rousing farewell

Dhanbad, March 1: A grand farewell and felicitation ceremony was organized for Debyendu Choubey, Office Superintendent of the Personnel Department, Dhanbad Rail Division, who retired on Friday after 37 years of dedicated service.

The event, held at the Dhanbad Gallery Hall of the Railway Stadium, was attended by senior officials, including Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Ajit Kumar, Assistant Divisional Personnel Officer R.K. Singh, and Amrendra Kumar. They lauded Choubey’s contributions and praised his dedication and work ethic.

Choubey joined the Indian Railways in 1988 and, besides fulfilling his official responsibilities, actively participated in the division’s cricket team. He was also associated with various committees and held different positions in Branch-2 of the East Central Railway Karmachari Union.

The farewell ceremony was graced by Divisional Personnel Assistant Officer Amrendra Kumar, Rakesh Rao, ECRKU leader N.K. Khawas, Amitabh Banerjee, former Santosh Trophy player Nitin Pradhan, former Ranji Trophy player Amir Hashmi, Mahdeo Singh, Rakesh Kumar Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Tapan Bhattacharya, Sanku Sarkar, Gautam Ojha, Ashish Mukherjee, Manjari Pandey, Lipika Choubey, Sudarshana Pandey, Anita, Srishti, and Rajija, among others. They reminisced about Choubey’s contributions and extended their best wishes for his retirement.
