Dhanbad, July 4: A team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday morning began a search operation in the house of an ex-contractual health staff Pramod Singh in Sahyoginagar under Saraidhela police station of the coal city.
Besides Sahyoginagar’s residence, the ED team is also searching Pramod Singh’s old quarter and a quarter of his staff in Bhuli township.
Pramod owns houses at Sahyoginagar, Bhuli Township
The ED teams reached his Sahyoginagar-based palatial house at around 6 am and two other teams simultaneously raided two houses in Bhuli Township. Since ED officials got the door of the building locked from the inside, they could not be available to talk with media persons.
Sources said the search is being conducted in connection with disproportionate assets of Pramod Singh. He was a contractual National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) staff ( accountant) at Jharia Jorapokhar Community Health Centre, where a scam of Rs 7 crore rocked the health department in 2016-17.
Later, he started a coal business and earned massive property. Till the filing of the report, the ED officials were continuing search operations at all three places.
