Jamshedpur, Oct 3: GAIL Gas Limited announced a drastic reduction in the prices of domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in the GAIL Gas authorized geographical areas of adjoining Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

This initiative aims to encourage the adoption of eco-friendly and convenient fuel for kitchens, aligning with their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Effective immediately, the price of domestic PNG has been reduced by Rs 4 per Standard Cubic Meter (SCM).

The new price stands at Rs 49 per SCM, down from the previous price of Rs 53 per SCM.

This reduction reflects GAIL Gas Limited’s dedication to making natural gas more accessible and affordable for households, thereby promoting cleaner energy alternatives and contributing to a greener future.

“We believe that by lowering the cost of Domestic PNG, we are not only supporting our customers but also encouraging the use of natural gas as a cleaner fuel option for everyday cooking needs,” said Goutom Chakraborty, CEO of GAIL Gas Limited.

“Our aim is to make this eco-friendly fuel the preferred choice for households, helping to reduce carbon footprints and improve air quality,” he added.

GAIL Gas is catering to around 600 households in Adityapur with natural gas supply.
