Jamshedpur, August 14: A heart-wrenching incident in Parsudih on Thursday has left the local community in shock.

Shilpi Mukherjee, 34, a nurse at Potka CHC, was brutally murdered by her husband, Saheb Mukherjee.

Acting on this suspicion, he allegedly strangled her into unconsciousness at their home before attacking her with a sharp weapon, resulting in her death.

After the murder, he posted a WhatsApp status and left a suicide note admitting to the killing and his intent to take his own life.

Parsudih police station in-charge Avinash Kumar stated that officers rushed to the spot upon receiving information and recovered Shilpi’s body.

Meanwhile, Sundernagar police recovered Saheb’s body from the railway track. Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

The victim’s brother, Amit Kumar, revealed that Shilpi had married Saheb four years ago.
