Jamshedpur, June 17: In a major anti-crime initiative, Jamshedpur police have identified 32 notorious criminals across various police station areas for action under the Crime Control Act (CCA), which may lead to their externment or imprisonment for up to a year.

These individuals face charges ranging from theft and extortion to contract killings and illegal arms possession.

Moreover, 164 associates from 20 active criminal gangs are now under daily police surveillance and are required to report to their respective police stations.

Any violation or suspicious activity will lead to strict legal action.

Senior officials have affirmed a zero-tolerance policy toward crime, stressing that no political or social backing will shield offenders.

Local residents have been urged to report illegal activities confidentially to ensure collective safety and peace in the city.
