Jamshedpur, Nov 17: A routine security sweep at Tatanagar Railway station turned into a major catch on Monday when the RPF flying squad seized 40 bottles of Iconic White foreign liquor from a youth attempting to travel to Bihar.

Acting on a confidential alert, security had been tightened across the station.
Under the supervision of RPF Post in-charge Rakesh Mohan and led by officer Balbir Prasad, the team conducted intensive checks on platforms and in the station premises.

During the operation, the squad detained Adarsh Kumar after finding his behaviour suspicious.
A search of his bag uncovered the liquor stash. Unable to provide a convincing explanation, he was handed over to the Excise Department, Jamshedpur, along with the seized bottles.
Officials said liquor smuggling attempts typically rise during festive periods, and strict checking drives will continue to prevent such activities.
