Jamshedpur, Oct 30: The Jyoti Inter-School Basketball Tournament, hosted by Loyola School, concluded with a series of high-energy matches and standout performances across categories. Teams from various schools competed fiercely, displaying their skills and sportsmanship, with Carmel Junior College and Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma, emerging as the top schools in several divisions.
In the High School Girls’ category, Carmel Junior College claimed victory, defeating Sacred Heart Convent, while Kerala Public School, Kadma, took the championship title in the High School Boys’ division, with Carmel Junior College as runners-up.

The Senior Girls’ category saw the host, Loyola School, Bistupur, securing the winning spot against Sacred Heart Convent. In the Senior Boys’ division, Kerala Public School, Kadma emerged victorious, with Loyola School, Bistupur finishing in second place.

Individual honors highlighted the tournament’s competitive spirit, with Sneha Kumari of Carmel Junior College named Best Player in the High School Girls’ category, and Anand Kumar Mishra of KPS, Kadma, earning the same title among High School Boys. In the senior division, Ariana Parikh won Best Player for Senior Girls, and Aditya Kumar Mishra from KPS stood out as Best Player among Senior Boys.
The tournament not only showcased impressive basketball talent but also emphasized camaraderie and sportsmanship among students. Loyola School’s successful organization of the event added to the excitement, creating an exhilarating atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
