Jamshedpur, July 26: JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition, a prestigious event organized by the Centre for Excellence in honour of the 120th Birth Anniversary of the legendary JRD Tata, concluded successfully with great fervour and enthusiasm.

25 Jamshedpur schools participated

The competition, held at Michael John Auditorium yesterday, brought together 235 talented students from 25 prominent English medium schools of the steel city.

The event was graced by chief guest, Rupa Mahanty, former senior executive, Tata Steel, a management consultant, an educator and a philanthropist who addressed the students and also gave away prizes to the winners.

The quiz master was Deepak Kamath, CEO of Tata Steel Support Services.

The competition witnessed an intense battle of wits and knowledge as the participants showcased their aptitude in various subjects.

The questions covered aspects of life and times of JRD Tata, challenging the students to think critically and showcase their intellectual prowess.

Rajendra Vidyalaya becomes first runners-up

After a nail-biting competition, Loyola School emerged as the deserving winner, showcasing their exceptional knowledge and teamwork. They were followed closely by Rajendra Vidyalaya, which secured the position of first runners-up.

The second runners-up position was claimed by Kerala Public School, Kadma whose performance was commendable and reflective of their dedication.

Helicopter joyride for winners and the first runners-up

The winners and the first runners-up will be taken for a helicopter joyride around Jamshedpur on July 27, tomorrow.

The JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition serves as a platform to nurture and celebrate the bright minds of tomorrow, instilling in them a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and a thirst for knowledge.

This event not only commemorates the remarkable legacy of JRD Tata but also reinforces Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting education and intellectual growth among children.

Winner – Loyola School (Daksh Jain & Shreyash Raj)

1st Runners up – Rajendra Vidyalaya (Samparna Das & Ankit Upadhyay)

2nd Runners up –Kerala Public School, Kadma (Aditya Sharma & Ayushman Mishra)
