Dhanbad, June 24: The 106-year-old Masonic Lodge Dhanbad celebrated World Brotherhood Day on Tuesday with a series of community-focused programs.
As part of the celebrations, a blood donation camp was organized at Guru Nanak College under the supervision of college principal Dr. Ranjan Das, secretary Diljan Singh, and former principal Dr. Purnendu Shekhar.

Dr. B.K. Pandey, in-charge of the blood bank at Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College (SNMMCH), led the medical team. A total of 51 units of blood were donated during the event.

Indian Medical Association (IMA) State President Dr. A.K. Singh noted that World Brotherhood Day is observed annually on June 24. He praised Masonic Lodge Dhanbad, established in 1919, for consistently marking the occasion each year with meaningful social service activities.
As part of this year’s celebration, Freemasonry members distributed food supplies and essential items to elderly residents. The initiative took place at Vidya Ashram in Sahayogi Nagar, a newly established old-age home supported by the lodge. The program was conducted under the supervision of Naushad, director of the old-age home.

Masonic Lodge president Sanjay Jha, secretary Deepak Kumar Singh, treasurer Ritesh Sao and others played key roles in organizing and executing the day’s events.
