Tana Bhagat indoor stadium
Director of the Social Welfare Department Shashi Prakash Jha told this correspondent, “There is going to be a mega programme on March 6 at the Tana Bhagat indoor stadium in Ranchi where Chief Minister Champai Soren will be launching and disbursing pension, incentive money, and also distribute letters of selection and disability equipment.”
Jha said, “Our department and offices in the districts worked hard for it. The response to our special drive for pension in the age group of 50 to 60 was overwhelming. We received 5,68,821 applications. Sorting out this huge bulk for eligibility and sanctioning was equally arduous, but we did it.”

Two thousand five hundred thirty-seven beneficiaries will be covered under the Kanya Daan Yojna on March 6.
