Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Jamshedpur Civil Court will host National Lok Adalat as a part of a countrywide campaign on December 14.
Preparation for maximum case disposal
Secretary of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Rajendra Prasad said all kinds of reconcilable cases will be disposed of during the proceedings.
According to him, the target has been set to dispose of the maximum number of cases at the National Lok Adalat. Therefore, meetings are being held with banks, financial institutions and various other departments.
National Lok Adalat will be organised across the country on December 14. On that day the Ghatshila Civil Court will also organise a National Lok Adalat.

Apart from the reconcilable cases pending in the civil court, more focus will be given on resolving the cases related to pre-litigation.
Free legal aid services
Notably, DLSA provides free legal aid, under which free help is provided to women, persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and tribes and persons with disabilities.
Such persons are provided free advocates for participating in court proceedings. They are also provided with court fees.
Similarly, the Legal Aid Defence Council (LADC) has been formed to provide justice to the undertrial prisoners lodged in jail in which nine legal experts have been appointed, who provide legal aid to prisoners.
Discussing the activities, the secretary of the authority said that legal awareness campaigns are run from time to time by DLSA. Under this, common people are informed about legal aid in addition to information related to various laws.
