Deoghar, Nov 28: A para teacher, identified as Shailesh Kumar Yadav, shot and injured the principal of Upgraded Middle School Ghormara under Mohanpur police station area on Thursday afternoon.
According to officials from the Ghormara police station, the incident occurred around 1 PM. The principal, Chandni Kumari, was conducting a class when Yadav suddenly entered the classroom and opened fire.
The accused fired two rounds, one of which missed while the other struck the principal’s palm. The sudden attack created chaos in the school, leaving students terrified and crying in panic.

The injured principal was rushed to Sadar Hospital, where doctors confirmed that her condition is stable and she is out of danger.
Following the shooting, Yadav fled the scene but was later arrested by Mohanpur police from a nearby forest.
Deoghar Superintendent of Police Ambar Lakra informed the media that the accused is in custody. “Preliminary investigation suggests a personal dispute as the motive. However, the exact reason will be determined after further interrogation of the accused,” Lakra stated.
