Dhanbad, Feb 15: Senior scientists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, district administration officials, and coal company officers from Dhanbad will demonstrate their cricketing prowess in the 2nd Inter-Institutional Cricket Tournament, which is set to begin tomorrow, February 16.

The tournament, organized by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), will feature eight teams: the Central Institute of Mineral Fuel Research (CIMFR), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad Bar Association, Dhanbad District Administration, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Maithon Power Limited (MPL), and the host, Bharat Coking Coal Limited.

At a ceremony held at the BCCL headquarters in Koylanagar, BCCL Director of Personnel Murli Krishna Ramaiah unveiled the tournament trophy and the official team uniforms. He emphasized that the championship would be a grand event, promoting both competition and camaraderie.
Ramaiah also encouraged the teams to maintain discipline and enjoy the game. “Cricket is a game of gentlemen, and there should be no place for sledging during the match,” he stated.
The trophy launch event was attended by BCCL General Manager (Personnel) Kiran Rani Nayak, Dr. Rajshekhar Singh, Prof. Soumitra Chatterjee, Sunil Kumar Singh, Biswas Hembram, Wrishav Pandey, Dharmendra Singh, Prasun, Shiv Shakti Prasad, Dr. Wrishav Rana, Sachin Tiwari, Sidharth Suman, Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Executive Member Binay Kumar Singh, Sunil Kumar, Diven Tiwari, Mahesh, and other dignitaries.
