Jamshedpur, Jan 24: D.B.M.S English School celebrated a day of intellectual engagement as it hosted the 34th Inter-School Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz Contest. The annual event, held in memory of Seuli, a beloved student who passed away on 3rd March 1989, brought together the brightest young minds from across the city.
In this year’s edition, Sacred Heart Convent School bagged the top spot.
The event featured renowned Quizmaster Vinod Menon, known for his expertise in hosting inter-school and ASISC Quiz competitions. Students from classes V, VI, and VII participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their knowledge across a wide spectrum of topics.

24 participating schools, six featured in final
The competition began with a preliminary round featuring 24 schools, out of which six teams qualified for the finals. The finalists were: Sacred Heart Convent School, DBMS English School, Kerala Public School, Little Flower School, Gulmohar High School and Hill Top School.

The quiz comprised five challenging rounds, testing the participants’ wit and knowledge on various subjects. The event was a perfect blend of education and entertainment, keeping both participants and the audience engaged.
Members of the School Management Committee, along with Principal Rajani Shekhar and Vice-Principal P.K. Sahu, graced the occasion, offering their unwavering support and guidance to ensure the event’s success.
Gulmohar High School comes second
After a nail-biting contest, Sacred Heart Convent School emerged as the champion with 290 points. Gulmohar High School claimed second place with 279 points, while Little Flower School secured third with 253 points.
The Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz Contest was yet another testament to the school’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and holistic development among students.
