Jharkhand News: Sakchi Gurudwara President Nishan Singh honoured for two years of leadership

Jamshedpur, June 17: Sardar Nishan Singh, president of Sakchi Gurudwara, was honoured with a shawl and a plant in recognition of his remarkable achievements over the past two years. This event highlighted his exceptional leadership and dedication to the community.

Sardar Gurdeep Singh Pappu, the founder of the Jharkhand Sikh Vikas Manch, and Satbir Singh Somu, Sikh leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, praised Singh’s tenure, describing it as unparalleled. They urged other Gurudwara committee leaders across the nation to emulate Singh’s working style.

Singh leading solar energy and infrastructure advancements

Singh’s commitment to serving the path of the Guru and maintaining the dignity and ideals of the Guru Ghar has been exemplary. His leadership has significantly contributed to the growth and prosperity of the Sikh community in Jamshedpur, promoting the culture and heritage of Punjab.

One of Singh’s notable achievements during his tenure is the implementation of solar energy for electricity, making it the first Gurudwara in Jharkhand to adopt such a sustainable initiative.

Additionally, the aesthetics and sanctity of the Guru Ghar have been enhanced. A beautifully adorned Guru Darbar, equipped with central features, has been established to help the congregation focus on the teachings of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and Guru Shabd Vichar.

Singh has also initiated the construction of a separate complex for the Hazuri Granthi and Kirtani caste, emphasizing the respect and reverence owed to the Hazuri Granthi Saints who follow in the footsteps of Baba Budha Ji. This move showcases Singh’s commitment to honouring traditional roles within the Sikh community.

Proposal to make Sardar Pappu chairman of committee

During a conversation at the event, President Nishan Singh and General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale expressed their admiration for Sardar Gurdeep Singh Pappu’s father, Sardar Gurdayal Singh, who has dedicated 40 years of selfless service to the community. They proposed that Pappu should become the Chairman of the Committee, acknowledging his contributions and leadership potential.

The felicitation event was attended by several prominent community members, including Sardar Chanchal Singh Bhatia, Gurwinder Singh Bunty, Paramjit Singh, Daljit Singh, Trilochan Singh Tochi, Paramjit Singh Jagtar Singh, Taj Singh Maa, Balbir Singh, and Daljit Singh. Their presence underscored the widespread support and recognition of Sardar Nishan Singh’s contributions.
