Jamshedpur, August 29: South Eastern Railway (SER) has taken a new initiative to felicitate ‘Employee of the Month’ and motivate employees to improve their performance.
Taking forward the new initiative for the first time, Hemant Kumar, a constable of Chakradharpur Division’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) has been adjudged the Employee of the Month (for July 2024).
General manager of South Eastern Railway Anil Kumar Mishra, felicitated Hemant Kumar with a cash award and commendation certificate at the SER headquarters at Garden Reach in Kolkata on August 27.

Notably, on July 30 Hemant Kumar rendered exemplary service to save the passengers of an accident hit train in the Rajhkarswan-Barabambu section of SER’s Chakradharpur division.
His prompt action and dedication to his duty have contributed significantly to the safety of passengers which was appreciated by all.
Sanjay Kumar Mishra, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, South Eastern Railway was also present at the felicitation function.
