Jamshedpur, Sept 20: Panic gripped passengers on the Howrah–Titilagarh Ispat Express (Train No. 22862) on Friday evening when unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the train between Adityapur and Tatanagar under Chakradharpur Railway Division.

The incident took place around 6 pm, creating chaos for a brief period. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the train reached Tatanagar station on schedule.

According to sources, as the train moved out of Adityapur towards Tatanagar, miscreants began hurling stones from the trackside.

Following the incident, teams of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) rushed to the spot and intensified patrolling in the area.

Railway officials assured that those involved would be identified and strict action taken.

Additional security measures will also be put in place for passenger safety.
