Jamshedpur, August 13: Under the Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata programme, Jugsalai Municipal Council organised a vibrant Tricolour Concert and Tiranga Mela at the Municipal Council office, emphasising local, eco-friendly tricolour production, discouraging the use of plastic flags, and ensuring adherence to the Flag Code of India 2002.

The event was graced by chief guests Shailendra Singh (Ex-Serviceman), Sushil Kumar Singh (Ex-PETI Navy Officer) and Kundan Singh (Ex-Sergeant, Indian Air Force).

The cultural segment featured performances by children, including patriotic songs, dances, speeches, a cleanliness-themed mimic by Deepak Mishra, and a jugaad exhibition showcasing creative works from recycled materials.

At the Tiranga Mela, women from self-help groups displayed handmade tricolours, paper artworks crafted by children from junk items, woollen rakhis, and tricolours designed using grains. The women’s group also created colourful rangolis in the tricolour theme, adding to the festive spirit.

The programme aimed to inspire respect for the national flag, encourage sustainable local craftsmanship, and promote environmental responsibility.
